Back to the future

Can you remember what you were doing ten years ago?

Did you think you’d be where you are now back then? Could you have imagined all the things that have happened for you during the last decade?

If someone had told me back in 1997 that in the coming years I would have gone cycling in India twice I would have laughed. India would have been one of the last places I wanted to spend time. Now I can’t wait to get back there.

Ten years ago we had a beautiful baby daughter. Emily was only around 7 months old and James wouldn’t even be born for almost two years.

What about ten years from now? What do you think might happen in the coming years?

Jonathan from Life and Times has just written a letter for himself, to be read in January 2016. Why not read through it and see if it prompts any thoughts of where you’d like to see yourself in a few years?

  • Ten years ago… 1997. I was in my second year working for a big manufacturing company, building their IT department.

I still lived with my parents (yikes!), and trained on my mountain bike for an hour every other night.

  • Ten years ago I was at university (my second year) studying myself silly to be something I didn’t know I wanted to be. I was also working at Myer in Karrinyup selling everything from toys, to computers, to electric toothbrushes.

I was also having very little luck with the girls…

Its was a good time to be alive. 😀

  • 10 Years ago I was in year 6 at school. I am happy to say I have since graduated and thoroughly enjoying my current job

  • Tim: Marginally, but I’ve had my moments. That said, I’m currently with an amazing girl that’s making it all worth while. 🙂
