Thumbs Up! Edition Three

Three weeks in and Thumbs Up! is drying up.

Not too many posts this week. We’ll have to see if we can get a few more for the next edition.

Obviously not everyone is able to post each week and seeing as so many people posted submissions over the past couple of weeks I think we’ll start to see things levelling out in the next couple of weeks with some people posting every two or three weeks.

If this is the first you’ve heard of Thumbs Up! and you’re scratching your head wondering what it’s about you can read the details here.

Romi has some great reasons to be thankful in her post This and That at Romi’s Journal.

Roger Carr challenges us to make a real difference when he writes about Changing The World One Day At A Time posted at Everyday Giving Blog.

My Thumbs Up! this week goes to Cindy Swanson of Notes in the Key of Life. Cindy’s a radio announcer, which is always a good start. Cindy’s thoughtful posts are always interesting. She manages to find the right mix of serious issues and fun with posts about her grandson through to topical radio interviews and a behind the scenes look at her work. I’ve been reading Cindy’s blog for well over three years and always enjoy dropping in on her. May I suggest that you drop in and say hello to Cindy?

I don’t think I’ve left anyone out but if you did post a submission this week and you can’t see it here, please email me so that I can add your post. If you missed out on being a part of Thumbs Up! this week, get posting now and submit for next week.

  • Hi Rodney! What a wonderful way to start off my Monday morning! This is some much needed encouragement…our radio station took a hit from a thunderstorm over the weekend, and I’m arriving on the job to find some equipment seriously hurting. This just after a similar incident a few weeks ago. So finding this bit of encouragement has already made my day!

I do intend to get involved in “Thumbs Up!” What a great idea. Later today, hopefully, I’ll post about it and get my button up on my blog.

Rodney, it’s always wonderful to be recognized by a fellow radio person and blogger. Thanks again!
