Itinerary takes shape

The itinerary for my trip to Haiti in April is taking shape.

I’ll fly out of Perth very late on Friday night the 4th of April. I’ll spend a few hours in Brisbane before heading to the US. I’m wondering if I can arrange someone to meet me at Brisbane airport with a bicycle so that I can ride a few hundred metres around the car park. I’ve cycled in all Australian states and territories except Queensland and Northern Territory.

After a few hours waiting at LA Airport I’ll finally arrive in Miami arouind 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night. That’s a lot of travelling time.

We’ll spend Sunday in Miami being briefed before heading out to Haiti on Monday morning the 7th of April.

The return leg of the journey starts the following Sunday, the 13th. If I had the money I would stay in Miami a couple of extra days on the return leg but it looks like I’ll just head straight home. Of course with the time differences and all the travelling I won’t arrive back in Perth until the Tuesday afternoon.

That’s the nuts and bolts of the flights. I’ll let you know more about what I’ll be doing as the time gets closer.
