Sophie, thanks for dropping in. Sorry I didn't get a chance to reply before now. Life has been extremely busy.

I was very impressed with Sy when I spoke with him back in 2004.

I have heard sy Rogers talk at Riverview Church abut 2 or three times now. The first time I heard and saw him I was also like, God this guy's gay! But then the consequent talks made me realise how much he was trying and how much how many of his mannerisms were still possible due to all behavioural pattersn and hormones still in his body when thinking of a sex change. I felt sympathy that people still felt he needd to be a sort of 'macho' male to convice the public that he was no longer gay. I guess its more complicated than that, but having bought one of his CD's and listening to him minister on sexuality I heard a person who was extremely well adjusted in his understanding, spiritually and psychologically toward the topic and not to mention a faultless public speaker. His wife should be grateful she has such a commited man despite his past brokenness. Go Sy!

I still remember the first time i saw/heard of Sy. We watched his testimony (recorded at Edge Church in Adelaide) at our home group. My immediate thought was 'there's NO WAY this guy is straight' - but then i started listening to his message, and it completely challenged and convicted me. If you ever get a chance to hear or see Sy, do it! You won't regret it.
