How was your weekend? It was a rather relaxing weekend for our family.
We took advantage of Perth’s beautiful weather yesterday afternoon to take a drive into the Swan Valley for ice cream at Oggies. Very nice.
I’m a bit predictable when it comes to choosing flavours. If an ice cream shop is offering macadamia ice cream that’s what I’ll usually end up buying.
It was a very relaxing way to spend some of the day. It’s amazing how much stress is released through the simple act of eating an ice cream cone.
I think that eating ice cream cones should be a recognised therapy and that we should get a rebate from our health insurance company every time we buy one.

But Oggies…? Ok, it’s nice enough. And more reasonable than the Chocolate Cake from around the corner at the Chocolate Factory…
However, did you know that the Gelati Place from Busselton (I’m sure everyone from WA knows who I mean) has opened up in Perth!!!!!! Yes!!!! Now we can buy the best Gelati I have ever tasted outside of Italy (and I have lived, worked and sampled Gelati in every Australian State but the NT)! I have to confess that I once travelled to Busselton simply to buy an ‘ice cream’ there!
But now I need only go to Hillarys Boat Harbour and enjoy the delights!
