FAST for FOOD – Day Thirty

Today is the final day of FAST for FOOD which has run throughout November and is a response to the Global Food Crisis that is threatening millions of lives.

If this is the first you’ve heard of this initiative of Compassion you can read my earlier posts. Every 7 Seconds … and FAST for FOOD Explained.

Each day throughout November I’ve posted a short Bible passage from the FAST for FOOD Calendar.

There is a theme for each week of the month and a passage to read as a focus of prayer.

The theme of week four is – DECLARE

Let’s use our God-given authority to speak into situations by boldly declaring His word.

DAY 30 – Ephesians 3:20–21

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

  • This was a great initiative. Thought provoking. Reminds me of a story I heard of some early Christian community, where when someone was hungry the whole community fasted till they were able to feed that person.

    Maybe we need to fast more often?
