So what does this all mean?

This video is pretty mind blowing.

What does it mean for us and for the generations to come? What does it mean for business? What does it mean for community? What does it mean for churches?

Thanks to Shane at Caffeinated Thoughts for pointing me to the video.

  • Rodney,

Today’s technology blows me away at times. I have an iPhone and that amazes me each time I use it.

What’s that verse in Daniel about “knowledge will increase”? Daniel 12:4

I’d say that is very true today.

  • The tech changes I have seen in my lifetime make my head spin. My mother has just about shut down on dealing with anything new. My grandchildren just seem to take them all in stride. I do see a shift ahead in world politics but have no idea where it will take us. Part of me wants my grandkids to have the relatively carefree childhood that I had but another part wants them to study every spare minute so they can stay ahead.

  • The video is no longer available … any chance you could find it again Rodney. I never got to see it and I can’t search for it because I do not know what it is called. It seemed like it will be quite interesting..

    Thanks

  • hmm when I click the play button it comes up with “we’re sorry, this video is no longer available”. Maybe you have it in cache or something. I dunno… I’ll just have to read the rest of the site instead haha

  • I’m a pretty keen technology user (e.g. met my husband online 11 years ago *smile*) and I don’t think “computers are of the devil” (as one Christian friend told me once), but the thought that struck while watching was, ‘Is this our Tower of Babel, Lord?…

Prob’ly not, but, while I’m fully aware and enjoy that technology advances have amazing positive applications, it does feel a little that we’re “chasing after the wind” (Ecclesiastes).
