Life is slow …

… but internet speeds at Rottnest are slower.

To be fair, it’s really the Optus wireless broadband that’s slow here. Everything takes forever to load so I won’t be updating this blog until I can get faster internet access.

We’ve been at Rotto for a few days so far.

I’ve read Mad Church Disease by Anne Jackson and large chunks of the impressively large book Shantaram. I’ll tell you more about them later.

Next month is officially winter but the weather has been amazing. I’ve been in shorts and t-shirt the whole time, apart from when I’ve been swimming in the crystal clear water of the sandy white beaches.

I love relaxing at Rottnest so I’d better just publish this post so that I can get back to reading, swimming, laying about, spending time with family and all those other things that make Rotto the best place to be.

  • I haven’t got far with Shantaram, must give it another go still. Probably got as far as the first two or three chapters.
Did you get to read The Shak, what did you think?
I couldn’t find it in the bookshop so it’s being ordered in.

I’m so envious of your holiday, it sounds perfect. Enjoy Enjoy!!!

    • I’ve got to admit that I started Shantaram at Rottnest this time last year and didn’t get too far. This year I’ve got quite a bit further and it just keeps getting more and more interesting.

I Haven’t read The Shack as yet. I’ve got a copy at work which I need to launch into sometime. 🙂

Thanks for your good wishes. We’re certainly having an amazing time together.

  • One could get jealous! 😉
    Have a great time!

(Now I know where our warm temps and sunny weather still is stuck! I want it finally here after your holiday)

  • Thanks Iris. 🙂

We’re having a wonderful time and yes, we’ve stolen everyone’s warm weather. We usually come to Rotto at this time of the year but I’ve never seen so many people swimming. Most of the time the weather is pleasant but still too cold to swim. This year it’s perfect.
