I love your point about lingering on the swingers ads. It’s a bit like the media beat up about the Maquarie banker. They made a big fuss about the guy opening an email but it gave them plenty of opportunity to show the semi naked shots of Miranda Kerr.

I think most people have secret lives that they don’t want anyone else to know about, and I think a lot of us would be surprised by just who has the most secrets. These guys got all the media attention because they were high profile and wealthy. I downloaded a Tom Leykis MP3 on The Underbelly of Internet Dating a while back, it made for every interesting listening to say the least.

I also had a bit of a chuckle at the media getting all sanctimonious about Herman Rockerfeller’s activities. They criticise the guy and yet show lingering shots of the swingers’ ads on the advertisements for the news story (I didn’t watch the story itself). I wonder how many viewers went and signed up for those websites after seeing that.
