John Beckett – Micah Challenge

We live in exciting days. After years of hearing that the problem is too big, we’re now seeing some encouraging steps forward in the battle against global poverty. The need to harness the momentum and continue the fight is now very real.

Micah Challenge provides opportunities for people to get involved in making our world fairer for everyone.

Micah Challenge is a global movement of Christian agencies, churches, groups and individuals which aims to deepen people’s engagement with the poor and to help reduce poverty as an integral part of our Christian faith.

Micah Challenge takes its name from the prophet Micah, who wrote, “What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8).

This morning I spoke to National Coordinator John Beckett on 98.5 Sonshine FM.

You can hear our discussion on what steps ordinary people like you and me can take in fighting poverty.
