Make Mine a Double

Max Galuppo was a little disturbed when he walked past a painting of ‘himself’ in red tights. It wasn’t really him. In fact, it was a portrait from the 16th century.

If you’re not one to find yourself in an art museum, would you change your mind if you actually found yourself in an art museum?

That’s basically what Temple University student Max Galuppo, 20, did when he and his girlfriend Nikkie Curtis visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Nov. 11 and nearly walked past Galuppo’s 16th century double, according to CNN. – Huffington Post

Since that very strange first visit to the art museum he’s been back … in costume … and now looks even more like his ancient double.

Have you ever met a double? Is there someone walking around who looks just like you?

Many years ago I had a resemblance to British comedian Mel Smith. I saw him perform in Perth back in the 80s. I went back stage after the show and had him autograph my program. He didn’t say anything but he did a double take when he saw me, then gave me a strange look. I guess he spotted the likeness too.

How about you? Do you have a double?
