Why Do We Do It?

I’m constantly amazed at how we can let our time with Jesus slip away or be crowded out.

When I’m spending time with him each day everything seems to make more sense and life is decidedly more agreeable, yet so often I let things slide for a while before I suddenly realise what’s going on. Sometimes it can be a day, sometimes a few days or even longer before I have to give myself a slap in the face and get things back in order. Why would I let something so important and so ‘life giving’ slip down my list of priorities?

Time to start spending quality time with my Lord a priority again.

I'm Tired … And I'm Not Even Racing

It’s been a couple of days since I last posted. I’ve been rather busy helping out with the Perth Criterium Series.

There has been some fantastic racing with very close results. The event is certainly a credit to the organisers and the riders.

The last event is tonight. I’ll be heading out the door soon to drive to Leederville. The weather looks a little threatening but the forecast is only sayin ‘the possibility of a shower or two’ now.

Perth Criterium Series

Today the Perth Criterium Cycling Series begins in Joondalup.

Today’s race is the Australian Men’s Open Criterium Championship. The next three races will be part of the Be Active Cycle Instead International Series.

I’m part of the commentary team for the first time. Should be fun.

World Idol Winner

So Guy Sebastian missed out. I think his choice of song let him down. He really didn’t get to show off his voice to its full potential.

The winner was Kurt Nilsen from Norway. A big win for ugly people everywhere. While Kurt isn’t much to look at, he certainly has a great voice. Well done Kurt.

American Kelly Clarkson was the firm favourite but obviously not with the public.

I guess we’ll get to do it all over again next year.

Happy New Year

What does the new year hold?

I can’t imagine it will be quite as full as last year. When I looked back I thought about how I’d travelled in India and cycled across Australia. Nothing that huge planned this year but who knows?

I’ll have to set time aside to look at some goals for the year ahead. Maybe I can just fine tune last year’s. After all, many of last years are in new condition – hardly used.
