That could very well be the headline when our accountant opens his email.
The 30th of June was the end of the financial year. That means it’s time for us to lodge a tax return.
Every year we promise ourselves that we’ll get organised earlier to have our details to the accountant. Every year it’s left far too late. Every year he has to chase us until we get our details to him. (We only submitted last year’s a couple of months back.)
Yesterday I gathered the necessary materials for the 2003/2004 year and emailed them to our accountant. How will he cope? We’ll probably be one of his first clients this year to get their information to him.
I hope he’ll cope with the shock.
