Water Water Everywhere

We’re experiencing some bucketing rain at the moment. We certainly need it to boost our state’s water supplies so I can’t complain.

After cycling through some fairly heavy showers on the way to the radio station this morning I was thinking about how good it was that the rain is starting to fill up the dams. However, I wasn’t quite so thrilled that it had already filled my shoes.

As I look out the window I notice that the winds are getting wilder. I’m faced with the fact that in around an hour and a half I’ll have to slip into my soggy cycling clothes and shoes and battle the elements to get home. Mind you – it beats driving a car any day.

  • Hi ROdney – I am Thomas’ wife and I thought I’d have a look at what he reads during the day.

Incidently, the rain is a good thing, and also, that you live in WA where it doesn’t rain nearly as much as what it does over here in sunny (?) Victoria.

I have read a few of your posts and I am liking it. Good Job.

  • Hey Rodney, meet my wife, wifey, Rodney. And how are the footy tips going? We (Olivia and I) are on 63. I’m even going to a game for my birthday next week!

Sorry, I forgot, this is not my blog it’s yours. Speak to you later…

  • Hey, what are you doing writing blogs while you’re on air buddy!!! As for the wet weather fashion statement with the soaking wet cycling gear, I can confirm that it’s true, coz I was here and saw the evidence, and, I also resemble that remark, after riding from home to the automatic transmission place in torrential rain to pick my car up a few weeks ago. The term “drowned rat” comes to mind when I think about it.
