His blog has only one post and that one is dated Saturday the 28th of August.
Normally I wouldn’t bother highlighting such a blog but this is different. If we can cajole this new blogger into action we will have a very interesting new voice in the blogosphere.
This is the blog of John Smith.
If you’ve never heard of John before you might like to check out his main website here.
This is part of his bio from that site:
Dr. John Smith is the ideal speaker for the challenges and contradictions of our times.
His message goes to the heart of the ethical and practical dilemmas presented by businesses concerned with leadership, profit and performance.
Having lived and worked with society’s outlaws, Dr. John Smith offers unique perspectives on harnessing sometimes unexpected forces for success. John’s doctoral work in urban anthropology and social movements has equipped him with an understanding of local culture – from the board room, to the pool room. His presentations are entertaining, engaging and offer powerful perspectives to business and management audiences.
Be warned – this charismatic outlaw, and founder of the God’s Squad Motor Cycle Club, John ‘Bullfrog’ Smith is one of Australia’s most unusual and unorthodox speakers. He commands not only the respect of Australia’s outlaw biker gangs, but also corporate Australia.
He’s received praise from some high profile names.
“Truly a preacher to the convertible… John Smith’s message is for people who want to do more than just listen.” Bono, U2
I met John many years ago (though he probably wouldn’t remember me) and spent half a day with him while we videoed some “God Spots” for television. I was throroughly impressed by the depth of his knowledge on so many subjects.
As we wandered around the University of WA he was telling us the names of all the birds that flew by and the differences between each of them. That was only the beginning. Without being at all showy about it, he seemed to be able to speak with authority on any subject that came up.
His views on spirituality and belief are deep and challenging.
I reckon that we should all email John to let him know how much we’d like to see him posting regularly. (I’ve already sent my email.)
