BANG!

There was a fairly wild electrical storm in our part of the world last night.

We were woken in the middle of the night to a huge BANG as the thunder did it’s stuff. I’m sure that at least one of those thunder claps was directly above our house. I don’t know that I’ve ever heard it that loud before.

Once I was woken with those first few rumblings from the heavens I lay in bed seeing huge flashes of light peeking past the closed blinds.

At some stage during the night the electricity must have gone off for a short time resulting in me waking up an hour later than usual. I normally wake up without the alarm and it’s just there for a backup, but with being awake for quite some time in the middle of the night my body decided it should have a little me time.

I only wish the lightning and thunder had come a little earlier in the evening so that I could have sat up and taken it all in. I don’t know about you but I just love staring out the window watching the sky-show.

  • nobody took pics?

it would have been nice to have pics of perth CBD skyline under the thunderstorm!

I’ve got many pics of it, but I’m missing this setting… well, next time!

  • Ah yes, I love a good storm too…as long as I’m reasonably sure no one is going to get hurt and nothing is going to get blown down! 🙂

Love falling asleep to the sound of rain and the rumbling of thunder. But I do fear the electricity going off in the middle of the night, because I have to be at work by 5 AM…and I can’t be sure I’ll wake u by myself!
