What’s going on?
I heard this week that Cliff Richard is selling a new fragrance named Miss You Nights. Hmm. I can see that. I like his music. Maybe I should wear his perfume.
Today comes the news that Delta Goodrem is following Kylie and Elle into the lingerie business. Why is a singer / actor flogging undies? What’s the connection? Do they expect people to think that if they wear some of Delta’s lingerie they’ll be able to sing as well as she can or look as wonderful as she does?
I’m sorry but while I wish these celebrities all the best with their retailing ventures, I really can’t work out why people would want to buy a product based on a recommendation by a singer or performer.
