Brewery Loses Jesus

Jesus has gone missing and an Adelaide brewery wants him back.

THE South Australian Brewing Company has offered six cases of beer to anyone who can produce Jesus.

The company today offered the reward after thieves made off with baby Jesus from its traditional nativity display earlier this week.

Brewery managing director Mark Powell says, “We are very concerned about the wellbeing of baby Jesus and we are calling for his swift and safe return.”

Mark, I’d have to say that Jesus has been through worse scrapes than this and has more than survived.

You would have to wonder what kind of person would scale a fence to swipe the baby from the nativity display. I can imagine the scene with Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, the wise men and all the animals crowded around staring at an empty manger wondering where Jesus is this Christmas.

The funny thing is, I’ve been looking around over the past few weeks with all the preparations for the festive season well underway, and I’ve also been wondering where Jesus is this Christmas.
