Just a reminder ….

….. that while you’re spending time with your family tomorrow, I’ll be at work.

Not that I want your sympathy, I’m sure that I’ll love being on-air for a few hours on the big day. It’s a wonderful feeling being able to bring Christmas cheer to people on Christmas Day. If previous experience is anything to go by I’ll get a number of calls from listeners who want to wish the team here at Sonshine FM a happy day. (Feel free to give me a call. It’d really make my day.)

We’ll be playing Christmas music all through Christmas Day so tune in (especially between 9:00am and Midday) on your radio (if you’re in Perth) or on-line by clicking here.

  • Sorry you had to work on Christmas Day. It sounds like you had a good Christmas with your family anyway. I haven’t gone swimming at the beach for Christmas since I was a kid in El Salvador. Here in Seattle it is raining and cold, with snow in the nearby mountains.

I am glad to hear that you were probably not playing The Little Drummer Boy at your station on Christmas day. Our local Christian radio station FM 105.3 has been playing only Christmas music for a month. I usually listen to it every day, but can’t take that much Christmas music, so I stopped listening to it until Christmas Eve. Then, I was disappointed that they were playing so many non-Christian holiday songs like Frosty the Snowman. I understand they do the month-long Christmas music format because it is so popular and profitable. That is too bad. Instead of distinguishing itself, it just seems to add to the overexposure and commercialization of Christmas.

May God Bless you and your family in the New Year!
