I was awoken to a wonderful sound this morning. Emily, who’s just 8 years old, was in the family room teaching James, who’s 6, to sing the Australian National Anthem.
Emily was going through the song line by line so that James could learn all the words. She’d sing a line, he’d repeat it, then they sang the whole song together.
It was very special to hear Advance Australia Fair belted out with gusto throughout the house.
Both Emily and James are so excited that it’s Australia Day. I suppose when you live in such a wonderful country there’s plenty to get excited about.

Two of my taxi customers are in Australia now. Two trips, they do not know each other; I can’t wait to hear their thoughts on what they saw.
