Dinner Time

We went a little up market for dinner last night. With some of Pauline’s English relatives in town, we were shouted to the Atrium Restaurant at Burswood for a buffet dinner.

It was a lovely treat. We walked that fine balance between making the most of the range of food available – enjoying tasting as much as possible – without walking away feeling as if we’d eaten too much. I paced myself well. I didn’t overdo it but I certainly enjoyed plenty of good food washed down with a very nice drop of Cabernet Merlot.

The most enjoyable part of the evening was getting together with family. Sadly, Pauline’s uncles, Arthur and Jim, are heading off today. They’re taking the train to Sydney to spend a few days there before heading home to England. Pauline’s dad is joining them for the train trip before flying home to Perth.

One day we’d like to visit all the family in England. Until then we’ll just have to catch up with those members of the family that make their way to Perth for a holiday.
