I was wrong

My apologies. I was wrong.

In my previous post I talked about what I thought was an important event; people of Iraq defying death threats to exercise their democratic right. I thought it was not only newsworthy but heroic and inspiring. Apparently, it’s not as important as I first thought.

What is important is that the world’s number 2 ranked male tennis player and a pretty young actress from an Australian soap opera got engaged last night. How do I know that this is important? I know that this is important because it was the lead story on tonight’s television news.

I apologise. I will try to get my priorities right next time.

  • Rodney you’re right, you are awful! It’s good of you to apoligize for your sordid error. Scoundrel! 🙂

In America it’s the same thing. Britney spears – who cares!

  • Not to worry Rodney. In a few years history will have been sufficiently revised as to edit out the need for your apology. We will all be told that we ALL talked about tennis affairs (snicker) today.

  • Well, according to Channel 9, this romance has: “captivated all Australians”
Evidently this is incorrect also since Rodney doesn’t appear to be captivated…
    It’s all a big mess!

  • You’ll be re-assured…there was also general rolling-of-the-eyes around the 6PR studio area as well as 7 started its bulletin with that.

I spotted Barich hiding in the corner…..trying hard not to be noticed…..
