The Jab

A couple of years ago they used me as a pin cushion but this time it was just one quick injection.

I visited the doctor yesterday to update my vaccinations for my upcoming trip to India. Thankfully most of the needles I was given last time are still current. I’m also very thankful that the doctor I see is very good at giving injections. I hate needles but last night’s jab was quick and painless. I’ve now also got a script for some anti-malarial capsules.

The trip to India is feeling more and more real as the date gets closer. One month from tomorrow I’ll be flying out. I just hope that I manage to get all the other preparations covered.

Funny how time starts to speed up the closer you get to an event.

  • i hope you get to blog from there … tho’ you may be a tad busy!! what with the cycling, etc. … what an adventure! i can’t even imagine being in such a foreign environment since all the countries i’ve visited have been safe places (well Mexican border towns do have their own flavour) …

oh, and the time flying thing – that’s age … :o)

(had to pay you back re the 40C quip, when we were suffering in the DEEP FREEZE!)

  • That’s a pretty fair comeback Saija. 🙂

I should be able to blog a little bit in India. I’ll certainly make time wherever I can because I will need time that is ‘mine’ amidst all the activity.

Most of the time we’ll probably be away from computers and the internet but I know there will be a couple of days where I’ll have limited access.

  • Aaahhh, the jab, yes, I know all about that. I had a needle poked into me 12 times when we went to west Africa!!! In the end I used to just put my arm out and say ‘go for it’, sometimes even one in each arm! LOL.
