Things that go BUMP in the night

Did you sleep well last night? I had a strange night.

After several days of feeling quite tired and getting off to sleep very easily, last night I took forever to get to sleep. I know that I have trouble sleeping if I’ve had a coffee past a certain time in the day but I only had one cuppa all day yesterday.

Once I was finally off to sleep I was OK for several hours but then I woke up again in the wee small hours.

Isn’t it amazing that what would sound like a neighbourhood cat jumping our fence in the middle of the day, sounds quite different at 4:00am? Funny how a small moggy is suddenly transformed into 150kg of axe wielding homicidal maniac who has come to steal all our belongings.

After a quick look around the house to see that everything was secure I headed back to bed – now a little more awake and more able to distinguish the difference between a cat and a criminal.

Maybe I’ll get a little more sleep tonight.

  • That is hilarious and I can totally relate!! I had a moth in my room the other night and it definitely sounded like a jumbo jet hitting my walls!
