Service – what service?

Have you ever been dissapointed with the service you received from a telecommunications company?

A woman has just had her first telephone installed – at the age of 89.

Alice Louise Bolton, who lives in rural Louisiana, said she’d been requesting a phone installation since 1970 but the phone company never contacted her.

The phone was supplied and connected after the public service commissioner intervened.

I wonder how many of her friends are still around to phone her. I wonder if she’ll connect to the internet now.

  • hope she gets high speed … at 89 with a slow dial-up system – well she may never see much on the ‘net … :o) … yes, my system is slow this morning … but your trip to India got extra prayer because of that! my resolution to pray while waiting, is still being kept!
