… this morning seemed to go quite well.
As I mentioned a couple of posts back, I showed a video clip of my recent trip to India during our church service this moring and talked a little about what we did.
I also preached on Luke 5:33-39. I showed a couple of minutes of the movie Chicken Run to illustrate a point. Michael Frost and Alan Hirsch used the movie as an illustration in their book, The Shaping of Things to Come so I stole the idea and showed the clip.
I spoke about taking a paradigm shift from old thinking to new thinking; about being new wineskins that are elastic enough to withstand the fermentation of new ideas. I was pleased with how it went and as well as hoping that the congregation got the idea, I keep hoping and praying that I’ll keep getting more of the idea too.

One of my favorite songs on the radio right now has the phrase “I stand silent as the paradigm is shifting.” I really love the ideas in that song.
I’d love to hear more about that song.
Do you know who sings it?
