What was lost has now been found

Here we are at Changi Airport, Singapore. We arrived almost 2 hours ago to find that two bikes had gone missing. Aaaargh.

The two guys who lost their bikes in transit had just finished filling out all the relevant forms when one last check located the bikes.

We’ve now checked our bikes and cases into storage at the airport and we’ll just take our hand luggage with us for the one night we’ll stay here before returning home. It will make it a lot easier than carting seven bikes and luggage for 9 people across Singapore.

We’re now at a coffee lounge using the free internet computer while sipping some very nice coffees. One of our team members works for Qantas and he has to head across to the Qantas desk to list himself for a flight out tomorrow sometime. The rest of us will be flying out around 9:30am. Those heading back to Perth will touch down around 2:30pm. I can’t wait to see my wonderful family.

  • I can imagine you will all be feeling excited to return to loved ones, yet sad that the adventure is ending?
It is a pity that you will miss the bike to work breakfast tomorrow morning. There is a competition to win a trip to the final stage of the TDF!!
