Bite me!

You hear people saying it’s a small world all the time, but sometimes people will come up with an example that really proves it.

We spent yesterday evening with friends in Pickering Brook. Our friends had a few others at their place for a BBQ.

One of the other couples that joined us there was talking about an incident they witnessed at the Garden Show some hours earlier. Apparently a young child wandered up to another child they didn’t know ….. and bit them.

The mother of the injured child was extremely annoyed. It seems that the biter’s mother did absolutlely nothing about it.

The friend who’s home we were at found the story strangely familiar. Then she remembered that earlier in the day she had spoken to another friend who’d had their child bitten at the Garden Show. It was the same incident.

I guess the odds against such a coincidence would be pretty high but as Steven Wright would say, “It’s a small world, but I wouldn’t want to paint it.”
