Where'd the weekend go?

We’re going to have a very relaxing weekend at the end of this week, but I’m wondering if it’ll be relaxing enough to make up for the one we just had. We didn’t stop.

We drove all over the place, caught up with family, caught up with some friends we hadn’t seen in a few weeks and some others that we hadn’t seen for months and even years.

We celebrated a friend’s 50th birthday on Saturday and another friend’s 9th yesterday.

Mind you, with all the rushing around, we still managed to have a wonderful time. It’s one thing being busy but it’s another thing being busy with friends. There’s something about being with good people that’s invigorating. I reckon relationships really are the stuff of life.

  • Did we just have a weekend? Oh, I must have missed it . . .
Yes Rodney I know exactly what you mean. Mine was spent painting the house and it seemed like it was over before it began!

  • dontcha hate it when everyone decides to hold their special occasion event on the one weekend. We had one like that recently. We clocked up a few months of socialising in 48 hours. It was all very exhausting, and now the social calendar looks blank ahead . . .
