Bloglines

Are you reading The Journey through a news reader of some kind? I read a lot of blogs each day using Bloglines. I know that I’ve mentioned Bloglines before and that this post will look like a paid advertisement (which it’s not) but I think it’s a great way of keeping up to date with what’s happening in the blogosphere. You don’t even have to be a blogger to register.

The simple explanation of how it works is that Bloglines lets you read a lot more blogs in a lot less time because you no longer have to open all your favourite reads only to find that they haven’t been updated since the last time you visited. It will keep an eye on your favourite blogs and let you know when they have something to say.

Once you sign up you just enter the address of your favourite blogs and it automatically finds the feed.

Here’s some info from their site.

Bloglines is a FREE online service for searching, subscribing, creating and sharing news feeds, blogs and rich web content. With Bloglines, there is no software to download or install — simply register as a new user and you can instantly begin accessing your account any time, from any computer or mobile device. And it’s FREE!

Bloglines shields you from the confusion of news feed standards — RSS, Atom, and others. Bloglines allows you to search for, read and share any updates from your favorite news feed or blog regardless of its authoring technology. And it’s FREE!

Looks like they’re keen for you to know it’s free.
