How are your breasts?

During my radio programme this morning I interviewed Dr. Karen Luxford, the Deputy Director of The National Breast Cancer Centre.

Since the news that pop diva Kylie Minogue is being treated for early breast cancer, there has been an increased awareness among women under 40 of the disease. While breast cancer in women under 40 is much rarer than in older women, there are still steps that younger women can take to ensure breast health and catch any symptoms in the early stages, increasing the possibility of effective treatment.

The statistics on surviving breast cancer are encouraging. If you are a woman who wants to know more about detecting early signs of breast cancer, The National Breast Cancer Centre has a comprehensive website you can visit which provides a wealth of information.
