Purple Bra Day

Tomorrow is Purple Bra Day.

It’s the Breast Cancer Foundation of WA’s signature event.

Following in the success of “Bras Across The Chase” in 2004 the Breast Cancer Foundation of WA has renamed their signature annual event “Purple Bra Day”. The purple bra is the symbol for breast awareness that the Foundation uses to promote early detection of breast cancer in the community. “Purple Bra Day 2005”, hosted by Tod Johnston, will see Forrest Place transformed into a purple bra wonderland and incorporates the annual street appeal through the city, entertainment, the “Purple Bra Parade” and an inspirational fashion parade by some of the Foundations young breast cancer survivors.

All the guys at work have been challenged to wear a purple bra, on the outside, for the day. For the priviledge of seeing us look silly, all the ladies are putting their hands in their pockets, or should I say purses, and donating towards the cause.

There’s no way the one I’ve been given to wear will fit so I’m thinking that it might make a nice hat or armband.

If I get a reasonable picture I might even post it here in the next few days.
