Getting ready for work this morning I heard my phone ringing. James grabbed the phone and brought it to me.
On the line was Vicki. She’s part of a Bike for Bibles team which is setting off today for a week of riding in our great state. They were in a bus on their way to the start point.
Their route was taking them within a few hundred metres of our place so they were almost in our street. They decided to drop in and say hello. I wandered outside to meet them and chat for just a few minutes. it was good to catch up with several familiar faces and meet a new one.
I’d love to be out cycling for the week with them because I know the great times that they’ll be having together. However, I’m working, and my love for my work is pretty strong so I’ll cope without the week’s ride.
