It’s finally arrived. The 2005 Tour de France is underway.
So far we’ve seen two stages and I’m sure that Lance Armstrong is confident that he is on track to win a historic 7th tour. Last year he won his 6th which no one had ever done before. If he takes the race again this year, he’ll put himself two wins above any other cyclist in history. It’ll be a long time before anyone gets close to challenging his domination of the world’s greatest sporting event.
There’s a lot of cycling to watch over the next 3 weeks. I hope you’ll forgive me if I show lapses of concentration this month. The live telecasts are on in the middle of the night here in Perth.
