I’ve been set a task. Michael from Chasing the Wind recently tagged me with the task of responding ot the paragraph below. Thanks for the tag Michael.
Things you enjoy, not because you have to but because you WANT to, even when no one around you wants to go out and play. What lowers your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level? Make a list, post it to your journal. And then tag 5 friends and ask them to post it to theirs.
So, what lowers my stress levels?
I would say spending time with my family and / or with good friends but I think this list is meant to focus on solitary persuits. With that in mind, here’s my list.
Cycling
Reading
Listening to some of my favourite music …. LOUDLY
Listening to some of my favourite music …. rather quietly (It depends on my mood at the time.)
Watching a good movie
Sleeping
Getting out of the metro area
Getting lost in a day dream
Now, rather than tagging 5 others as I should, I’m going to ask you what you do to relax and hope that I get at least 5 people leaving comments. Go on, tell me. What helps your stress melt away?

Do you think some of your friends would enjoy reading Tagged … again? Please use the buttons below to share the post. Thanks.
I’ll either write, read or pull out my scrapbook and doodle.
Occassionally, a voodoo doll works as well 😉
Reading, listening to music, sleeping, talking to my family on the phone, going to see a movie, sleeping, playing the piano (personal time-out), having coffee with friends, reading while soaking in a nice hot bath, cooking…
Mountain biking would be number one for me. I guess there’s a sort of kinship there, Rodney.
In addition, I like playing guitar, relaxing in front of the tv with some Mountain Dew, sitting on my porch with some sweet tea, or driving around.
Relax in front of the teli, do something creative, eat a tin of spaghetti….cold!, write letters, surf the net, play online scrabble. I’m a wierd one aren’t I!!
Lying in a hammock in the evening cool of a summers day, watching a storm come in across the ocean, listening to really old music (your tag did say “when no one around you wants to”), enjoying a great red wine, and if at all possible all 4 at the same time.
