The price of a good curry

The chef from an Indian restaurant in England is flying 650 km to deliver a takeaway curry to France.

Surat Miah, head chef at Indis in Ainsdale, Merseyside, was stunned after receiving the order from a regular customer who is staying at a hotel in Paris. At first he thought it was a joke but after the customer paid the bill via her credit card, around AU$4400 dollars worth, the restaurant bosses realised it was for real.

That’s a lot of money to pay, even for your favourite meal. I’ve got to admit though, I’m now wondering what it would cost to have a chicken biryani from the little restaurant at the YWCA in New Delhi flown to Perth. Do you think that they might even throw in a fresh lime juice for free?
