Anniversary

Yesterday marked a year since my full-time return to radio. It was a year ago that I took over as the host of the morning programme on 98.5 SonshineFM.

I started working at 98.5 Sonshine FM on Sunday night the 8th of May 1988. At that stage I was working as a part time announcer filling in on weekends and wherever required. A year later, almost to the day, in May 1989 I started full time work atSonshine FM.

10 years later in May 1999 I commenced a couple of months Long Service Leave. I didn’t return. I began work in August 1999 at the Bible Society as WA Bike for Bibles Coordinator. During my 5 years at the Bible Society I stayed in touch with 98.5 Sonshine FM and still took on occasional air-shifts.

After working for 5 years away from Sonshine FM, I returned and I’m loving what I’m doing. I plan on being here for many more years.
