Show Bag judging

It’s coming very soon. The Perth Royal Show runs from the 24th of September to the 1st of October.

Details of the show are filtering through already. Last week I interviewed a chocolate judge during my morning programme on 98.5 Sonshine FM. Tough job ey? Tomorrow I’ll be interviewing one of the Show Bag judges.

Every year there’s a competition for children who want the honour of judging the dozens of show bags on offer. This year, one of the winners was our daughter, Emily. So today Pauline drove her across the city to the showgrounds to take part in her duties.

She joined nine other kids looking through a couple of big tables of show bags to decide on her two favourite bags. She picked the Tweety and the Simpsons bags as her favourites. She was then interviewed by a couple of radio stations, Channel 10 and The West Australian newspaper about her choices.

I certainly wasn’t going to miss the opportunity so I arranged an interview with her as well.

The best part of her experience? She got to bring home a few of the bags.

  • Does that mean that she wont want to go to the show this year? 🙂
Does that mean she wont get to buy show bags this year, because she’s already got some? 🙂
