The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

We enjoyed a Fathers Day treat yesterday by seeing a preview of the new Wallace and Gromit movie, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

I’m not sure what I can say about this movie. It’s just so good.

We’ve been Wallace and Gromit fans for years so it was extra special being able to see a full length movie with the plasticine pair.

There’s so much to see. As well as watching all the action, you’ve got to keep an eye on the background. There are book titles, appliance brand names, car stickers, number plates and all kinds of other bits and pieces that bring a smile to the face if you’re paying enough attention at the time. It may well be a ploy to get people back to the movie more than once to make sure they get all the jokes.

The movie isn’t being released in the US until October but it’ll be on the big screen here in about 10 days.

The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is one of those movies that has you remembering little bits and pieces long after you’ve left the cinema. The kids loved it. We loved it. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I reckon that most people will enjoy escaping reality for a little while with Wallace and Gromit.
