Memories

We had a quick memory boost yesterday afternoon. We watched some bits and pieces we had videoed around 5 years ago.

Emily was 4 years old, James was just 2. It was hard to believe that they were ever that young. They were both so incredibly cute. Of course in my mind, they still are.

It was a wonderful time and I’m glad we were able to experience it but I wouldn’t go back there for the world. I’ve loved seeing Emily and James develop as they’ve moved through every stage of their lives so far and every stage seems more wonderful than the last. Each stage has had its delights and trials but I wouldn’t change those times.

I think I’d better pull out the video camera soon and capture some more memories. I’m sure we’ll sit down in another 5 years and look at Emily and James as they are now with great fondness. We’ll smile at how things were back in 2005, knowing that in 2010 they’re just where they should be on the journey of life.
