Remember Sinead

Emily and James went to school wearing yellow today. Even though they never knew her, they’re remembering Sinead.

Chris Parsons is a young Western Australian boy who knew Sinead. A couple of years ago he watched his friend die of leukaemia. He was determined to keep her memory alive and since Sinead died, Chris has been instrumental in raising around $70 000 for leukaemia research. He founded the idea for Remember Sinead Day.

Every school in WA is being asked to Remember Sinead today by wearing something yellow, her favourite colour, to school in her memory. They are also being asked to take a donation and to get involved in a range of fund raising activities.

Sinead fought hard but she lost her battle in 2003 at the age of just 12. If you’d like to remember Sinead, you can visit this website and donate to the Sinead appeal.
