What day is it?

Do you ever get your days a little out of whack? I spent a lot of yesterday thinking that it was the last day of November. I don’t know why I was thinking that, but when I got home, I found that Pauline had been thinking the same. She had mentioned it to the kids so both Emily and James were thinking that November was history as well.

It was only a little later that I realised that it was indeed the second last day of November. I suppose it means that we all get an extra day that we weren’t expecting. That’s always a bonus.

And now I know for sure that today is the final day of November. Well, hang on, let’s check. It’s the 30th today. 30 days has September, April June and November – yep that settles it. It’s the last day of spring. Summer starts tomorrow.

  • Noooo—it’s still Tuesday for 46 more minutes. This time stuff combined with blogging is really confusing. And I still can’t figure out how it could be summer where you are and winter here.

  • The season difference really messes with you when you move. For us it used to be winter/fall at this time of year, but now it is the beginning of the dry season (hot) here in Kenya.

  • Ever since I had our little one the days seem to run into each other! Getting up at 3 or 4am regularly really stuffs up your days and nights!!
