Christmas Bikers

The 30th anniversary Perth Bikers Charity Ride is currently underway. The bikers are riding from Belmont to Joondalup with toys to donate to support the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.

Each year thousands of motor bikes take part and it’s always interesting to see a little bit of the ride on the TV news.

I saw a couple of guys on their way to the ride this morning as I was cycling to work. I was at a set of traffic lights on my bicycle when two big, beefy, biker types in full leathers pulled up next to me on their big, loud, flashy machines.

How did I know where they were going? Both of them had big fluffy teddy bears strapped to the backs of their bikes.
