Livin' in the 70s

I don’t know if my sister is a prophet but it seems she wanted to stay up to date with my blog well before blogs, or even the internet, were invented.

I’ve mentioned Bloglines a few times before here because I find it to be such an easy way to stay in touch with a lot of my favourite blogs. I simply subscribe to the blogs I like and read them all through Bloglines. I don’t have to spend hours opening blogs that haven’t been updated, I simply log into Bloglines and it tells me who has posted recently.

Recently, I had a look at the details of those who have subscribed to The Journey through Bloglines and I was surprised to see “MargaretOlsen – subscribed since January 1, 1970”.

That’s amazing. I was only 6 at the time, getting ready to start Grade Two at Wembley Downs Primary School.

If Margaret had realised back then how big this blogging thing, or even the internet, would become, our family could have got in on the ground floor and made some serious dollars.

On the other hand, maybe Bloglines was just having a bad day.

By the way, if you’re looking for a way of staying up to date with The Journey, you can click the Subscribe with Bloglines button in my sidebar, or if you prefer a daily email with my new posts, you can click here.
