I don’t normally post pictures of my family here but I figure that as thousands of people have already seen this photo on the front page of the local community newspaper, I might as well put it online here. The quality isn’t wonderful because it’s just a scan from the newspaper.

As I said some days back, a photographer from the Eastern Reporter was at the Town of Bassendean’s Australia Day Celebrations on Thursday afternoon the 26th of January. He took a picture of Emily and James with their Australian flags.
We were very pleased to see that they used the big colour photo of them on the front page. They misspelled our surname, putting in an ‘r’ where the ‘l’ should be but we can live with that. Orson, Olsen, whatever.
We’ve got a bundle of copies which we’ll be sending to friends and family across Australia and around the world.

Aaawww, don’t they have your eyes!!!
Awwwwwww! They are adorable! Thanks for sharing them with us!
Great looking kids, Rodney Orson!
(Do they get it from their mother?)
🙂
Thanks Amanda and Layla.
We think they’re pretty cute too.
Yes Matt, they do get their great looks from Pauline, especially Emily. 🙂
(Though a lot of people think that James looks a lot like me. I used to call him mini me.)
i was just going to say how James looks so much like you.
Nice photo Rodney!
No, you have it all wrong. They look like their Aunty Margaret. Just joking! HaHaHa.
Beautiful children!
Beautiful pic–thanks for sharing! Yes, I can definitely see the family resemblance.
We´re in Argentina at present Rodney. We brought with us a pile of Aussie flags to give to people. Staying with an 83 yr old and tonight, our last night with Francisco, we (all 4 of us) will wear our Aussie shirts and give them a flag! We also have sticker flags we secretly put here and there so they can remember us when we´ve gone! Sure is great travelling with your kids, even when they´re 27 and 28!!!!
Wow. Can definitely see the family resemblance. They look like great kids. You must be proud.
Wow. Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments.
Good to hear that Keasty is doing OK on the other side of the world from home. 🙂
And yes, kimbofo, I am incredibly proud. Words can’t describe how proud I am of my kids and of their wonderful mother. I have been extremely blessed with my little family.
Precious!
