A local business is offering great prices on printing digital photos so I’ve been going through the hundreds of photos from my trip to India in February and March last year.
There are so many pictures and so many stories to tell. As I look through my photos to decide which I should get printed, the memories come flooding back.
This photo (click the picture for a better look) was taken at the end of a long day of cycling. We had visited a lot of churches as we battled through the Indian city traffic. Outside the last church we had visited for the day, bikes were being packed into trucks and many of the young people who had cycled with us were saying there goodbyes. A few of us had cameras out to capture the moment.
As we stood on the road outside a few of the local children decided to see what all the fuss was about. This boy and his sister seemed very pleased to see us and though we didn’t speak the same language they let us know that they wanted their photo taken too. They were delighted to be able to see themselves on the LCD screen on the back of the camera.

Good morning Rodney!
May I ask which local company it is that’s got the good prices, and what the price is?
I need to print about 400 photo’s, and the cheapest I could find was Big W, for 20 cents I think it was(if you bring them in, and don’t want them straight away).
thanks!
🙂

Hello Simone
The Big W deal sounds pretty good.
My wife found a deal with Harvey Norman a couple of weeks ago where they were doing prints for 15 cents each. They didn’t have enough paper back then so they agreed to extend the offer to Pauline when they got the paper in.
I imagine that their deal is officially over but it might be worth a call to find out if they’re still offering 15 cent prints or if they plan on running the deal again anytime soon.
Thanks, I’ll look into it!
It’s funny it’s Harvey Norman, as they’re usually the most expensive with everything!(our digital camera was about $100 cheaper at JBHifi!)
Just a word of warning, Simone. Pauline got a hundred or so of my photos printed through Harvey Norman today and the quality is pretty shocking.
The camera I used was a 3.2 Megapixel Pentax which has always produced very sharp, detailed pictures in the past. I also had a few pics printed that one of my friends took on a 6 Megapixel SLR which produces outstanding pictures.
The pictures from both cameras look washed out and without detail. I don’t think we’ll be trusting Harvey Norman again.
Ohhh, thanks!
I think wherever I get them done, I should just get a few done first(I don’t trust Big W much either.. ha ha)
Oh, what a shame for you!
If I remember(memory like a sieve me), I’ll let you know how they go at Big W or elsewhere.
