If you’re not in Western Australia you probably wouldn’t have heard of the Perth to Mandurah Rail Link.
The new rail line, which will run from the state’s capital, Perth, south to Mandurah, has been the subject of much debate, cost blowouts and time overruns.
I’m sure that when it’s finally in place it’ll be a very worthwhile piece of infrastructure but in the meantime it’s a bit of a headache for all concerned. When the first trains start running down the line, whenever that may be, I’m sure the sighs of relief will be heard for thousands of kilometres.
The attached job advertisement (click on the picture for better detail) was in Saturday’s West Australian Newspaper. Yes, Saturday the first of April.
Apparently the advertisement ran in the early editions of the newspaper but was pulled from the later printings.
So, do you think you’ve got what it takes? Thinking of applying?

Very nice. I remember when our church was looking for a new full-time pastoral care worker. After the list of roles were written up we were like ‘so basically we’re looking for Super Mario.’ But we ended up finding him so it was all good. 🙂
