Zschech … one two

Tomorrow morning at around 9:10 a.m. Perth time, (click here to see what time that will be for you) I’ll be chatting to Darlene Zschech about Mercy Ministries on my morning radio programme.

Mercy Ministries Australia is based on Mercy Ministries in the US. The Australian website says, “Mercy Ministries runs a residential program for young women aged between 16 and 28 years with life controlling issues. These issues range from eating disorders, unplanned pregnancies, substance abuse, eating disorders, self harm, suicidal tendencies, depression and anxiety, and the effects of sexual and physical abuse. The average stay for a resident is approx 10 months, depending on each individual girl.”

Darlene tells of some amazing life turn arounds for many young women. During the interview she talks about a girl who was rescued out of prostitution and is now living a very different life.

There are currently two Mercy Houses in Australia and moves are underway to open another Mercy House, this time in Perth.

If you’re not in the Perth area and you’d still like to hear some incredible stories of hope, you can listen on-line at the 98.5 Sonshine FM website.

  • I did hear you briefly this morning on radio when you were giving a run down of your program at 8.30. I was wishing I could have heard it. Sounded like a jam packed program! One day….

  • That’s extrememly cool. It’s hard to follow hillsong aside from the records over here. What a fantastic ministry. I’ll try and look up an archive of the interview?

I really like the voice introduction. Has anyone ever told you that you could have a great career in radio? Well, someone should!

    Peace.
