Are you a little hard of hearing? According to a new American study there may be an answer. Red wine.
This report at News.com.au suggests that red wine may well counteract damage caused by loud noises. They say that green tea and aspirin have similar benefits.
I guess the choice is yours, red wine, green tea or aspirin. I suppose that if you chose the red wine and drank it often enough you would cease to care whether you could hear or not.
I know that my ears suffered thanks to many of the concerts I went to when I was young and foolish. Now I’m old, foolish and broke so I don’t go to as many concerts.
There was one particular Hoodoo Gurus concert at the Old Melbourne that caused my left ear some problems. I can still hear just fine but it does make some strange noises now and then.
I might have to indulge in a glass of the Cabernet Savignon in my cupboard to see if it helps. I’m prepared to help test their theories for the sake of science.

As I drummer, I think they will mean I need a fair bit of red wine…………
I’m glad they didn’t find that prune juice helped your hearing!
I’ll take the red wine thanks Rodney.
Over here they push green tea as the cure for everything! Perhaps that is your best bet!
