Cycling in India

It was all a little weird really.

On Friday morning our next door neighbours told Pauline that late Thursday night they had been watching me … on TV … in India.

Apparently they were flicking through their pay TV channels and suddenly saw me and my bike starring on the Australian Christian Channel.

During my first trip to India in 2003 my friend and video producer, Mark Simpfendorfer, put together a half hour documentary on the journey we took. I didn’t know that it had been passed on to ACC so I was rather surprised to find that our neighbours had been watching.

Later on Friday morning, a work colleague told me that he was also flicking through TV channels the night before and had happened upon the programme. He watched it too.

After finishing my morning radio programme on Friday I looked at the ACC website and noticed that they stream their programming on-line. I logged on and found that the doco was being shown again.

I don’t want to put your computer into meltdown so I haven’t got the full 30 minute programme for you to watch, but if you haven’t seen it before, you can click here to see the 4 minute highlights version of my 2003 trip to India.
